Law Students

Making the transition from law student to lawyer can be daunting – even more so when considering a future in a specialty like patent law. Working with our team will allow you to fully grasp what is involved in practicing patent law. Law students working at Element IP will have broad exposure to all aspects of patent law, while receiving training, mentoring, and practical experience. Our goal in employing law students is to identify colleagues who will spend their careers with us.
Ideal candidates will have undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in chemistry or life sciences, and excellent law school credentials.

Patent Agents and Technical Specialists

At Element IP, we value technical expertise and are always seeking scientists and engineers that are interested applying their technical backgrounds in a legal setting.
Patent agents and technical specialists can expect to work on a variety of different technologies and be involved in a wide range of intellectual property matters, including conducting prior art searches, drafting patent applications, preparing and filing responses to office actions, and supporting the preparation of legal opinions. You can expect intensive training, important and challenging work, mentoring/support for professional development, and opportunities for leadership.
Ideal candidates will have an advanced degree in chemistry or life sciences.

Lateral Attorneys

As former attorneys of one of the most renowned intellectual property law firms, we understand the value that comes from change. At Element IP, we appreciate the unique perspectives held by experienced attorneys having diverse backgrounds and our goal is to foster your professional development.
Experienced attorneys joining Element IP can expect to be exposed to a wide variety of important and challenging intellectual property matters ranging from patent procurement and legal opinions to PTAB trials. We seek creative, motivated, independent individuals to join our team.
Candidates must have a JD degree from an accredited law school and be actively licensed as an attorney in an appropriate U.S. jurisdiction. Ideal candidates will have undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in chemistry or life sciences, excellent law school credentials, and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
